Are you a Ninja with Appetite?

I guess I’m officially a Ninja because I definitely had an appetite at NINJAS WITH APPETITE. I’m NOT one to follow “food trends” or random food mashups, so I really only wanted to try the Teriyaki bowl here.
Chef Fernando insisted on making me a trio of best-sellers: bowl, burrito, and quesadilla.
When all 3 items came out, I had no self-control. The smells were all too overwhelming. After I took my pictures, I literally dove in to all of it.  To be honest, I didn’t even know what was inside the burrito or quesadilla. When a chef makes you something, you try it- no matter what.
As I started gobbling the chicken teriyaki bowl down (half veggies and half brown rice instead of all white rice- happy they can accommodate this!), I knew that the burrito and quesadilla were going to be much better than I anticipated… I’m not a HUGE teriyaki bowl (Flame Broiler, etc.) fan, but this… this was a whole new world. That house-brewed teriyaki sauce seriously makes a difference.
Now let me say, I will never again judge a “glutinous-looking” food until I try it. Despite how heavy burritos and quesadillas usually are, I felt like these were a bit lighter and MUCH fresher tasting. I could have polished it all off, but I tried to seem SOMEWHAT civilized.

Food is made fresh to order, teriyaki sauce is on point, everything is delish. The place is tiny and parking sucks, but it is worth it. Don’t let the intense-looking burrito & quesadilla fool you- these are not your typical “mac-n-cheese burger blah blah blah”  mash-ups.

Sauce Boss Suggestions : Chef also makes a chili aioli! YuM!
